VideoLab for Adult Education - OER videos provided from University of Wuerzburg

The Professorship for Adult and Continuing Education at Julius-Maximilians-University Wuerzburg is happy to announce the launch of its own Open Educational Resources (OER) collection which includes videos and other digital learning materials relevant for adult and continuing education.

Never before has it been as clear as in summer semester 2020 that the world is moving towards more digitality. Hence, digital learning materials need to be identified as an essential part of the future of education.

Following this trend, the Professorship for Adult and Continuing Education is steadily realizing digital learning materials. Its newest innovation is the VideoLab for Adult Education to provide learners, lecturers and practitioners with digital material that can make adult and continuing education more tangible and understandable - even from distance.Accordingly, the Professorship has set-up a collection with significant contexts for Adult and Continuing Education practitioners. These include for example “International policies and policy analysis”, “Employability in adult education” or “International publishing in adult education”. Videos on these topics have been integrated into the so called "OpenWUECampus"-platform at JMU Wuerzburg (moodle-based) which makes it easy accessible over a guest account.

In addition, there are several videos on outcomes of research and development projects realized with support of many founders and project partners such as DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and BMBF (German Federal Ministry of Education and Research). Furthermore, the collection is enriched with links to videos, which were produced by other colleagues in the field of (adult) education.
