UNESCO has just launched a video tutorial on how to implement education for sustainable development at the local level. The tutorial was presented at the 2019 UN Climate Change Conference (COP24).

The video tutorial that premiered at COP24 focuses in particular on how learning cities – which UNESCO defines as ‘a city that enhances individual empowerment and social inclusion, economic development and cultural prosperity, and sustainable development’ – can integrate Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into existing programmes. The tutorial addresses why and how learning cities should promote ESD.

The tutorial for implementing ESD follows a series of seven video tutorials on how to build a learning city, which were launched in October 2018.
