Our institute, which works under the Lifelong General Directorate, gives skill development courses in various departments. In this course, women embroider with a technique called ‘’hesap işi’’ in handicraft department. It is the N-shaped embroidery of the original determined patterns on the fabric with colored threads. ‘’Hesap işi’’, one of the palace embroidery, is a technique that reflects the patience and mathematical intelligence of the artist. Some of our trainees attend courses to spend their spare time. Others take courses to improve their skills and earn financial gain through their work.
