STEAM4LIFE project successfully completed
The funding part of the EU project STEAM4LIFE www.steam4life.eu ends in November 2024. Over the past two years, it has aimed to inspire and empower young female students with vital skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), preparing them for lifelong learning and global challenges. Recognising the increasing demand for interdisciplinary skills, STEAM4LIFE has integrated creativity, innovation and critical thinking into educational frameworks to foster an entrepreneurial mindset in students.
The project has emphasised experiential and inquiry-based learning, using innovative pedagogical approaches such as problem solving, design thinking and collaborative projects. STEAM4LIFE promotes the use of digital tools and resources and offers students the opportunity to work on real-world challenges. Through partnerships with schools, universities, industry leaders and policy makers, the project aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, ensuring that young people are equipped with skills relevant to emerging job markets.
A key component of STEAM4LIFE is teacher training to enable educators to effectively deliver STEAM-focused curricula. Teachers are provided with resources, workshops and support networks to help them adapt traditional teaching methods to more dynamic, student-centred practices.
