NICE Academy was organized in October aiming to introduce participants to a wide range of innovative approaches, which they can embrace in their practice (as practitioners) or training programs (as academic trainers).
During this event, representatives of the Serbian Euroguidance center had a workshop session: Exploring emotional impasse and transitional challenges in the process of career counseling with adults.
During this workshop the concept of the emotional impasse was presented: how we can recognize what may be worrying for an individual when they explore new career opportunities and how is it connected with the process of change. Participants were able to find out more about types of those worries (ex. Am I smart enough?; Will I belong there?; Do I deserve it?) and some techniques for overcoming these worries. Since these worries are a natural part of the change process, it was present as well, with specifying when those worries may be indicative of more psychological support whit clients.
You may find out more about the other sessions during the conference following the conference website.
