Rural Challenges, Digital Solutions

People in rural areas can often face extra challenges to becoming digitally included, from less digital skills support, to greater distances to travel to public internet access and poor broadband availability.
Rural Challenges, Digital Solutions is a one-day event from Tinder Foundation - in Birmingham on Monday 6 July - that will explore how to support people in ALL areas of the country gain digital skills.
Join us for the chance to meet other digital inclusion practitioners, share best practice and develop solutions through interactive workshops and discussion. We’ll be exploring ways of engaging and recruiting new learners in rural areas, and understand how to tackle the particular barriers that working in rural landscapes can present.
It’s the perfect event for UK online centre managers, those working on learning in libraries, housing professionals involved in digital skills for tenants, community development professionals or anyone invested in increasing digital inclusion in rural communities.
It’s also ideal for newer centres looking for advice on rolling out their digital inclusion activity.
