REM (Right, Duties and Solidarity: European Constitutions and Muslim Immigration) is a European project co-funded by the Erasmus + programme of the European Union that involves seven partners in four European countries: Germany, Italy, Romania and Spain.
Inspired by a project realized within the walls of Dozza's prison in Bologna (IT), REM aims to prevent violent radicalization and to promote #democratic values, #fundamentalrights, #intercultural understanding, #activecitizenship. In this way the Consortium has created a set of Training Modules directed both to general public (migrants and receiving society) and to trainers that work in intercultural environments.
The modules aim to improve the acquisition of social and civic competences; to foster mutual appreciation and respect among people with different ethnic or religious backgrounds; to prevent radicalization in prison, in educational centres and in society.
The results obtained are intended to:
- Reach a broader audience;
- Provide better services covering a broader range of issues (e.g. gender, social justice, etc.);
- Acquire a transnational (EU-wide) outreach
In order to achieve these goals it was created a Network of organizations working in the sector of Immigration/Education/Inclusion.
