RECULT project platform launch

RECULT is a strategic partnership in the field of adult education funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme.

The main objective of RECULT is s to create an online blended method of visual education for recycling and rebuilding the cultural identities of people with migrant, minority, and refugee backgrounds.

One of the main project results is an ONLINE LEARNING PLATFORM to explore visual creativity for understanding the complexity of cultural identity(ies) and inciting people to communicate through images by providing: 

  • A series of practical Tutorials about:
    • Recycling Materials and Visual Heritage
    • Recycling Materials and Skills
    • Recycling Skills and Visual Heritage
  • Sharing of practices in Recycling and Up-cycling
  • Forum Discussions about Recycling Skills, Visual Heritage and Materials
  • Dissemination of relevant events

The Tutorials are described as videos with subtitles in 6 languages and a guided webpage containing all the elements to describe how to implement the methods (users, duration, phases, objectives, materials needed etc.).

Following is a list of the Tutorials already available on the platform:

  • Recycling materials and visual heritage:
    • Discovery and Creation of Migrating Objects
    • Discovering Cultural Heritage and Nature through Clothing and Fashion
    • Mapping on Tote Bags-Recycled Urban Souvenirs
  • Recycling materials and skills:
    • Theatre Performance with "Dancing" Microscopic Images
  • Recycling skills and visual heritage
    • From ornament to adornment - Creation of a collective miniature painting
    • Expressing feelings and thoughts about borders
    • Reflecting on Communities and Living Environment through Metaphors with LEGOâ Bricks

The RECULT Online Learning Platform is also an interactive platform that permits users to share their recycling or up-cycling practices, explore and exchange some relevant good practices from all over Europe and consult and use the teaching and learning material available as open source on the platform. The platform also includes a Forum and a Blog page where all interested people can share ideas and news, and exchange thoughts relevant to socially and environmentally sustainable visual art.
