Portuguese experience – foreign internship of students from PZS no.2 in Pszczyna
Portuguese experience – foreign internship of students from PZS no.2 in Pszczyna.
In the beginning of October, a group of 12 logistics and economics students from Karol Miarka Complex of Schools no. 2 (PZS no.2) in Pszczyna began a one-month internship in a charming town of Montijo, Portugal.
Having passed through the recruitment procedure, the participants started the preparation process which included intensive course of the Portuguese language, cultural preparation as well as methods of dealing with stress and separation from the family and friends.
The partner organization we cooperate with in this part of Portugal is EDP – European Projects Development. Right after the arrival, the company took care to divide the students into teams: the logistics students started the training in the warehouses of the Continente supermarkets and in a flower distributing company Florineve, while the economics students began in accounting offices and a language school.
In their free time, the participants took great advantage of the local attractions, relaxing by the ocean or tasting local food, all the time improving their language skills and overcoming inner barriers.
At weekends, they went on quite a few sightseeing trips – to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, to The Pena Palace in Sintra, to Cabo de Roca by The Atlantic Ocean, a cape which forms the westernmost point of continental Europe.
