Pact4Youth: Boosting youth employability in the construction industry


The Pact4Youth project, co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, has been successfully completed, providing the public with a series of resources aimed at improving youth employability in the construction sector. These results are available on the project’s official website.
Among the main achievements are:
- Inspirational Figures: Short videos where professionals from the sector share positive experiences, challenging traditional stereotypes and highlighting opportunities in construction.
- Transnational Dissemination Event:H eld on 28th November 2024 in Brussels, this hybrid event brought together key stakeholders to discuss strategies and present the project’s progress.
- Info-days: Dissemination events organised in each participating country, with the aim of promoting the project’s objectives and results at the local level.
- Social Media Campaign: An initiative designed to improve the sector’s image among young people, using digital platforms to break down barriers and attract new talent.
- Masterclasses for Young People: Practical sessions organised in each country, including workshops and site visits, to directly connect young people with the industry.
- Resources for Career Advisors and Trainers: Tools and materials designed to enhance professionals’ ability to guide and train young people interested in construction.
- White Paper on Career Guidance in the Construction Industry: A document compiling the results of national reports and field research, focusing on the role of training organisations and promotional activities in the sector.
- Masterclasses for SMEs: Sessions on innovation and digitalisation targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises, delivered by large companies and experts in the field.
- Toolkit for Learning in SMEs: Practical resources aimed at supporting SMEs in implementing apprenticeship and training programmes within their organisations.
- Long-Term Action Plan: A comprehensive strategy outlining the measures and steps to be taken to improve youth employability in the project’s countries, focusing on the sector’s image, training, and administrative and legislative issues.
- Multi-actor Approach Report: A document that highlights the work done by high-level working groups in each country, showcasing the collaboration between various stakeholders to address the sector’s challenges.
These resources represent a joint effort to revitalise the construction industry and attract a new generation of professionals, ensuring a sustainable and dynamic future for the sector.
