NEWLEAD
NEWLEAD stands for innovation, leadership and change management in higher education
Today, higher education institutions are tasked with multiple and challenging roles. They accommodate evolving student expectations, address changing labour market needs and sustainability pressures, and face unexpected challenges such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
In this demanding context, the NEWLEAD project aims to build the capacity of university leaders in steering change and in addressing new priorities on the institutional transformation agenda.
NEWLEAD is led by the University Ramon Llull (URL) in Barcelona, in partnership with a diverse consortium including EUA. It is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, as a Strategic Partnership for Higher Education.
The final conference of the Newlead project “Shaping the future of leadership development for university leaders in Europe” will take place at the Flemish Interuniversity Council (Galerie Ravenstein, 27) in Brussels, Belgium, on Wednesday, October 25, from 4:00 pm to 6:15 pm. The conference will also be online, for registration click here!
NEWLEAD project partners will share the key findings and ideas of the project. Representatives from the European Commission and national university associations will then discuss how to address the challenges facing current and future university leaders as they navigate the constantly evolving landscape of higher education. Particular emphasis will be placed on exploring strategies to bridge the gaps and promote sustainable and impactful leadership development initiatives across Europe.
