Adult Education and Social Justice: International Perspectives
This special collection of studies, edited by distinguished colleagues as Slowey, Hinzen, Omolewa and Osborne, pays tribute to the achievements and legacy of Prof. Lalage Bown, a well-respected Scottish adult educator having devoted her working life to social justice, fair and equitable human learning, intercultural dialogue and citizenship education for adults be promoted in underdeveloped regions of the world. Bown has spent good years upon bridging in between adult education of global North and South with care, respect and understanding towards marginalised and vulnerable groups of adults to be supported by education and basic skills development.
Collected papers of this special volume demonstrate some recent trends and issues of international adult learning and education to have influenced quality developments in raising participation and performance in ALE in the focus of SDGs, CONFINTEA VII and MFA.
