New Irish Charities Governance Code
Given the high proportion of educational organisations which function in Ireland as charities, it may be of note to the sector that the Irish Charities Regulator has announced a new Governance Code.
This Charities Governance Code explains the minimum standards you should meet to effectively manage and control your charity. As with the previous governance code, this was drawn up following extensive feedback from charity representatives.
2020 will be the first year that registered charities are expected to comply with the Code. 2021 will be the first year that registered charities are expected to report on their compliance with the Code.
