New Face in Léargas
I'm thrilled to join the EPALE community to learn and share with so many incredible people engaged in Adult Education across Europe. I started working for Léargas in November 2021 and it has been a whirlwind few months so far!
I've been busy learning all about the facts and figures of the Erasmus+ programmes and getting to know all the different strands of work happening in a National Agency.
For me, hearing about the innovative projects taking place around Europe, and chatting directly to project co-ordinators has provided some of the best learning. It's wonderful to find out about all of the work that is happening and how that is impacting directly on adult learners and educators.
There are wonderful projects working with often excluded groups such as prisoners or migrants, there are innovative projects looking at science and technology, and so many local and regional organisations providing valuable learning opportunities in their communities.
As I settle in, I am trying to find the best ways to support and grow the existing projects that we have, while also creating spaces to encourage new organisations to get involved. There are so many possibilities within the Erasmus+ programmes and I am excited to share these with anyone who is interested.
I already know that EPALE will be a really useful source of information and inspiration for me. I am looking forward to connecting with project co-ordinators around Ireland, with my peers in other National Agencies, and many others.
