NATIONAL CLOSING MEETING OF THE EUROPEAN ADULT EDUCATION AGENDA-6 PROJECT

The national closing meeting of the European Adult Education Agenda-6 Project was held on December 25-26, 2023 in Ankara with the participation of 100 people. The meeting was attended by the managers of the central public education centers of the pilot provinces of the project, trainers, the project team, representatives of stakeholder institutions and academics.

 

The opening of the meeting was made by Hüseyin KENDIRCI, Head of Research, Development and Projects Department, and the studies and project outputs made during the project process were transferred to the participants by Yusuf Taner TEKIN, project coordinator. During the two-day meeting, Hacettepe University Prof. Dr. Serkan Çelik The e-contents developed in accordance with the main output of the project ‘Development of Digital Skills and Competencies of Adults (distance Education-Asynchronous) Course Program’, project stakeholder Ministry of Family and Social Services Education Specialist Kezban DURDUBAŞ ‘Political developments in the Provision of Elderly Welfare’ and project stakeholder Prof. Dr. Presentations were made to Emine ÖZMETE on ‘Academic Current Studies for healthy aging’.

Prof. from Ankara University. Dr. Emine ÖZMETE ,Assoc.Dr.Burcu ÖZDEMIR OCAKLI,Teach..The second panel on ‘Active Aging: The Future of Old Age‘, which was held with the participation of Member Serdarhan DURU, as well as the ‘Needs Analysis Report’ and ‘Action Plan‘ studies of the project as a stakeholder, and the panel was completed by informing about the studies they actively support.

 

It is expected that the e-content produced for the development of digital skills and competencies of adults aged 45-65 will be promoted and directed to the project target group through HEMBA ( MEB distance Education Platform) through public education centers and will be used as a result of the project work. The European Skills Agenda and the development of digital skills, which the European Union also drew attention to, the importance of topics such as digital citizenship, artificial intelligence, digital health, digital security, and the topic of future digital trends and what their reflections will be, their assessments and new perspectives from the point of view of adult education were conveyed to the participants by academics with this meeting.
