Mentoring of micro, small and medium enterprises that face difficulties in their work that enters the field of lifelong learning
Mentoring of companies is process that have existed for 3 or more years is free of charge and at the request of the managers or owners of the companies. Namely, the managers submit an application through the www.bizz4аll.mk platform, which facilitates the application process for receiving mentoring assistance and it finances the mentoring process. Currently, the platform is funded and supported by the Government of R.N Macedonia, UNDP and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The project started its implementation in 2020 and included 100 active companies that requested mentoring support.
Through this platform, the small and medium enterprises affected by the Covid-19 crisis are offered the opportunity for direct and free advisory-technical assistance by experienced and professional business mentors. Together with the companies, they will work towards creating new strategies, finding new markets and building a new market approach, improving sales, the way they work, financial management, access to finance, etc.
The contents of the platform are of informative and educational character, and by simply filling out an informative questionnaire, each interested company will get the opportunity to communicate directly with a suitable business mentor who will work directly in a set of mentoring classes and will offer advisory - technical support to business. Also, in order to shorten the path needed to determine the most appropriate funding program for each interested beneficiary, a systematic and structured review of all available programs, measures and support activities from various stakeholders is offered.
Among them were the companies Hasplast from Tetovo, Akademija Leontic from Skopje, Beleteni Sport from Tetovo and others. The managers of the companies were extremely satisfied with the mentoring process because they learned some new skills in the process of working and gained new knowledge that facilitated the process of obtaining financial resources in the market. Mentoring consisted of the following activities: establishing contact of the company manager with the mentor and submitting all financial and material documents at the moment. Perception of the actual situation of the company (financial, technical). If there is artificial insolvency, ie uncollected receivables, a financial factoring instrument is proposed, for which the manager of the company said that this is the first time he is acquainted with this method of collection.
For example: If the company is manufacturing and recycling plastic wrap, the mentor advises the manager to take the old plastic from the farmers without financial compensation and in return to give him smaller quantities of plastic wrap. In this way, the Hasplast manager declared himself to be a very effective method. If the company has difficulties with high electricity consumption, the mentor recommends placing a capacitor battery before the power supply, which reduces the company's electricity consumption. The manager of Hasplast was extremely pleased with these constructive suggestions as he solved his problems.
