The Hedy project is designed to be a free and accessible source of information about digital technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is considered the cornerstone of the 4th industrial revolution (Industry 4.0). The project is rooted in the belief that understanding the positive applications of AI, along with recognizing potential impacts and threats to human rights and democracy, is crucial for fostering a human-centric, ethical, secure, and value-driven approach to AI, aligning with the European Convention of Human Rights (ECHR).

The primary objective of Hedy is to offer a comprehensive and shared perspective on how AI is shaping various aspects of our lives, including socio-economic, cultural, and human environments. This is achieved through critical reflection, self-based learning, and open debate. Specific objectives include establishing a theoretical framework, spreading awareness through the Hedy MOOC, collecting flexible tools for AI-related activities, providing guidelines for optimal asset use, creating a foundation for broader community usability, and delivering open educational resources in AI-related topics.

Hedy aims to reach higher education providers (learners and professors), civil society organizations, adult education, and vocational education and training providers (learners and staff).
