In the 9th National and 5th International Conference of Adult Learning taking place in online form between 10 and 11 May 2021 during the opening plenary sessions and later during the workshops and panel discussions complementing and analysing the plenary sessions many leading subjects will be discussed.

The presenters will analyse connections and collaborations between higher education institutions and museums in Hungary. They will also provide an overview of a national research on this subject and practical experiences of the partnership. Aspects of social responsibility in museums thus museum programs for young and older adults with social disadvantages and international examples of methods of equal opportunities in museums will be mentioned. The following subjects will also be discussed: museum and community organising, opportunities of online community building in museums, communication strategies in museums, best practices of museum communication in cooperation with higher education. In order for professional self-reflection discussion about the new system of adult education and quality assurance in museums, confrontation between interests, values and perspectives in different museum specialties, exploration of distinct and common perspectives can not be left out of the conference program.
