In the framework of the project "Enhanced Vocational Training for Welding Learners and
Welding Teachers to Meet Market Needs in the
Construction Sector in Greece III" (2021-1-EL01-KA122-VET-000030817) the Technical Institute of Heraklion Chamber organized the planned mobility of trainers and trainees in the summer of 2023. The three groups visited the facilities of the host organisation, (GSI - GESELLSCHAFT FÜR SCHWEISSTECHNIK INTERNATIONAL MB
SLV - SCHWEISSTECHNISCHE LEHR- UND VERSUCHSANSTALTEN) and were trained on MIG & MAG welding techniques, occupational and health and safety protocols, but also had the opportunity to visit many sights of the city of Oberhausen and broaden their intellectual horizons. This is the third project organized by the Technical Institute in the art of welding, which in Greece faces a serious shortage of manpower.
