HEALTHY 50+ PROJECT - C2 Meeting
|
Between 21-28 May 2023, the C2 training activity of the Erasmus project Healthier Europeans - a Healthier Community 2020-1-PL01-KA204-082141 took place in Campia Turzii. The host of this mobility was the Parents for Children Association and Avram Iancu Secondary School. Participants in this mobility were trainers and seniors from Universities of the Third Age in Slovakia, Latvia, Portugal and Poland. The first day started with an icebreaker for getting to know each other, followed by the Romanian language minute, the presentation of the agenda for the whole week, a workshop for developing communication and social skills, a sensory development workshop, a nutrition-vegan workshop and a vegetable carving workshop. The evening ended with a visit to the beautiful Brancoveanu Monastery. On the second day, in the morning, we started with pilates, relaxation techniques, posture shaping exercises, small motor exercises for hands and feet, and Nordic walking techniques. After this physical training, we had a spectacular trip to Bâlea Lac (a cable car ride up the Transfăgărășan). We enjoyed snow, breathtaking views and warm and friendly people from 5 countries away. The evening ended with a campfire and many intercultural moments. On the third day, we went to the Alberta fishing complex, where we were introduced to all the services and products of the fishery (the hydroelectric plant, fishing pools, reflexology pools, bakery, butcher's shop, bicycles for rent). For an hour, each participant was free to access these services, so some enjoyed fishing, and others enjoyed the bike ride or the reflexology pools. After lunch, we visited the Turda salt mine. On Thursday morning, the delegation was traditionally welcomed (with bread and salt) with flags from the participating countries by the children and staff of Avram Iancu Secondary School. A medical education workshop followed, in which 4 enthusiastic doctors - Raica Anca, Crisan Sabina, Alajmi Mahmoud and Dindeal Alin presented different health problems specific to those over 50. They continued with the art education workshop, where they practised the decoupage technique and made the project logo on a large canvas—the evening ended with an intercultural party and the awarding of prizes to the participants. |
