HEALTHY 50+ PROJECT - C1 Meeting

On October 25, 2021, the C1 meeting of the HEALTHY 50+ project began. The meeting aimed to conduct a training program for educators from five partner countries (Latvia, Portugal, Slovakia, Romania and Poland), showing 8 classes for 50+ students. Working divided into teams, educators exchanged experiences in working with 50+ students during the following classes:

  • Nordic Walking,
  • relaxation techniques
  • pilates
  • posture and motor exercises for small hands and feet
  • lectures and workshops on "healthy cooking."
  • "medical" education for people aged 50+
  • improving auditory and visual perception and concentration of attention,
  • classes developing communication skills and social competencies

Participants exchanged good practices used in conducting individual classes, discussed the goals, methods of achieving them, class programs,

Difficulties in achieving goals, specifics of cooperation with their students, etc. One of the elements of the meeting was to conduct small-group classes with students qualified for the project in the host organization. Then, together, they developed descriptions of good practices, methods, tools and approaches used in their classes. During the meeting, educators also worked on the program of activities for 30 hours. Physical activity including Nordic walking, relaxation exercises, pilates, posture and motor exercises small hands and feet; 30 h classes on healthy eating habits and "healthy cooking"; education of 50+ students conducted by doctors/nurses; exercises improving auditory and visual perception and concentration of attention, developing communication skills and social competences; 30 h classes preparing students to participate in the SENIORDA 2022. At the same time, educators developed proposed topics for various types of activities promoting health and mental well-being, promoting the Erasmus + Program and its offer, promoting the value of educational activities and intergenerational learning and lifelong learning, as well as building/strengthening the European identity of the project participants. The created program is a program of local activities that will be implemented in each organization participating in the project.
