Global education (not only) fot teachers: EduSkills+ Reflections

Developing compassionate, creative and critical thinking and engagement to achieve inclusive societies - these are the principles on which the Eduskills+ Reflections project is based. The Eduskills+ platform includes numerous free teaching materials that support the development of skills necessary for participation in democratic processes and life in plural societies in the globalized world.

What is Eduskills+ Reflections and who is it for?

Eduskills+ Reflections is a multilingual portal for teachers and anyone working with children and young people and includes free resources, activity ideas and ready-made lessons structured in modules. The content can be integrated into a wide range of subjects and topics such as geography, ethics and religion, media education, social studies and politics, biology and language. They can also be used in adult education, e.g. as materials in foreign language courses. Eduskills+ Reflections was developed by an international team of experts. All materials are free and have been researched and tested in many classrooms across Europe.

What content is covered in Eduskills+ Reflections?

Intercultural integration in a globalized world requires specific strategies to reduce prejudices, question stereotypes and promote dialogue. The platform provides tools to discuss important topics through three pedagogical approaches: children's philosophy, global learning and diversity education. The exercises help learners not only develop their cognitive skills and learn to make decisions, define ideas more precisely and formulate concepts, but at the same time promote the development of emotional competencies such as empathy, imagination and the ability to work collaboratively.

How can Eduskills+ Reflections be used in the classroom?

Numerous modules can be found on the portal, most recently also on exciting topics such as “Empathy”, “Water: The Source of Life”, “Sexual Diversity and Gender Identity”, “Climate Activism” and “Digital Ethics”. Furthermore, the knowledge can be deepened as desired through links and literature tips. Lesson plans, exercises and materials can be printed directly from the platform. All materials are also available in six languages: German, English, Italian, Polish, Slovak and Slovenian. Foreign language teachers can also use this offer to enrich their lessons with current, meaningful and important topics that appeal to children, young people and also adults.
