FLOW IN GAMIFICATION in the Erasmus+KA204 project "FLOW: Fun, Learning, Opportunities, Well-being"
Our Erasmus+KA204 project "FLOW: Fun, Learning, Opportunities, Well-being", which is coordinated by Escuela Oficial de Idiomas in San Roque Spain, continued with the topic of gamification. From 12/12/2022 to 16/12/2022 training was organized by Adult Education Institution Studium in Osijek, Croatia on the topic of "FLOW in gamification" The goal of this activity was to share knowledge and skills related to the gamification of the classroom and learning through games for adult learners. The activity included 19 participants from seven partner institutions from Spain (EOI San Roque and EOI Estepona), Turkey (EFEM Akdeniz), Slovenia (STEP institute), Croatia (Dante and AEI Studium), Romania (ACTA), and the Czech Republic (EDUCA).
The training began with an introduction to gamification and the positive psychological effects it may have on the motivation and empowerment of adult learners. Over the course of the following days, the participants had a chance to participate in a number of various classroom and outdoor games that facilitate learning, which included:
- Development of digital escape rooms in the Genially tool
- Treasure Hunt activity
- Development of interactive online learning games for foreign language acquisition
- Gamification in the adult education classroom
- Gamification in learning through drama techniques
A fun week of learning, self-growth, and becoming acquainted with the Croatian culture, was rounded by a workshop organized by EDUCA on the topic of cooperative learning, peer observation, and giving quality feedback. We are looking forward to new project activities!
