Context

Vocational Education and Training (VET) remain a crucial instrument in our toolbox to make sure that people of all ages have adequate skills to navigate life and work. In fact, VET is key for the very objectives of the EU: from the European Year of Skills to the Digital Decade and beyond. 

Launched in 2016, the European Vocational Skills Week offers an arena where all stakeholders come together to celebrate skills, showcase best practices and inspire others.

What to expect? 

This year, the European Commission will organise the 8th edition of the European Vocational Skills Week with eyesight on the European Year of Skills (EYS). VET stakeholders and, more broadly, education and employment stakeholders will contribute to the success of this education, spanning from 23 to 27 October. During that week, in fact, European-level events will be organised, including in cooperation with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Being part of the European Vocational Skills Week is as easy as uploading your events on the website of the EYS!
