Erasmus Pro placement and their effect on the participants and the organizations orgain the context of Erasmus+ .

The 1st Laboratory Center of Patras has successfully completed the Erasmus+ Learning Mobility program entitled "VET Staff and Students Development II" with code 2020-1-EL01-KA102-078303. The program was particularly demanding as it included a multitude of training activities, some of which were implemented for the first time by our school. Still, at the same time, they are innovative activities that give teachers and trainees the opportunity to develop new skills that will help them respond adequately to the demands of the modern labor market.

Within the framework of the program, 15 long-term mobilities (Erasmus Pro) lasting three months each were implemented in Spain, Portugal and Cyprus.

In relation to the target countries, we must point out that Cyprus is a convenient choice to facilitate students who do not have sufficient language skills in English or other working languages and as a result cannot work in environments where the use of English or other languages at a satisfactory level is a prerequisite. However, as the level of language skills of the trainees improves over time, it is possible to choose other target countries. In this specific program, we planned to send trainees to Spain and Portugal.

For this project, the placement of students by country and specialty is as follows:

Cyprus: Total 11 recent graduates.

Specialties

Nurse Assistant: 5

Dental Technician Assistant: 3

Computers Network Technician: 1

Nursery Assistant: 1

Construction and Geoinformatics Technician: 1

Placements were made in businesses in the wider area of Limassol. The host partner for the participants was the educational organization SHIPCON LIMASSOL LTD.

Spain: Total 1 recent graduate.

Specialty

Construction and Geoinformatics Technician: 1

The placement was made in a company in the wider Barcelona area. The host partner for the participant was the educational organization MOVEU PROFESSIONAL SERVICES SL.

Portugal: Total 3 recent graduates.

Dental Technician Assistant: 2

Artwork Restoration: Technician: 1

Placements were made in businesses in the wider Braga area. The host partner for the participants was the educational organization APLICA PROPOSTA LDA (BRAGA MOBILITY OPEN).

The expected learning outcomes were planned on the basis of the ECVET system and the participants were awarded 20 credits for the respective qualification corresponding to the three-month period. In the context of the ECVET system, the participants were awarded a Personal Achievement Document detailing their achievements, performance and credits.

Also, a Europass Mobility Certificate was awarded detailing the activities developed and the skills acquired by the participants within the program.

The majority of placements can be characterized as particularly successful. Participation in the program contributed to increasing the ability of the participants to manage their entry into the labor market with consistency and decisiveness and to expand the pool of options in relation to their professional development. Several of the participants have already made choices to continue their studies and professional development as a result of the effect of their participation in the specific program.

In addition, the organization maintains a highly functional and efficient network of organizations in Europe that can adequately support the professional development of graduates by offering the opportunity to gain professional experience in their field and increase their expectations in the labor market.
