Erasmus+ Forward-looking projects

Education institutions can submit a proposal for Erasmus+ forward-looking projects. The Commission is making funds available for innovation projects in the areas of Vocational Education and Training (VET), adult learning and digital education. Submissions are open until 27 May 2025.
Improving adult learning?
Any education institution that has an innovative idea for improving VET, adult learning or digital education can submit a proposal for Erasmus+ forward-looking projects. It concerns projects that drive innovation in education.
Such a project can, for example, map, develop, test or evaluate new approaches. A promising discovery can be incorporated into the education system of the EU member states. An estimated budget of 16 million euros is available. Submissions are open until and including 27 May 2025.
The topics
The topics, which align with EU policy priorities, are the following:
- School Education: Enhancing basic skills
- Vocational Education and Training: Promote an enabling and supportive environment for vocational excellence at national and/or regional level
- Vocational Education and Training: Development of joint VET qualifications and modules
- Adult Learning: Support to the Pact for Skills
- Adult Learning: Improving career guidance to support adults’ participation in training
- Digital education: Assessment of digital skills and competences
- Digital education: Ethical and effective use of generative Artificial Intelligence systems in education and training
- Digital education: Innovative data collection and exchange approaches in primary, secondary education (including vocational education and training) for data-informed decision-making
