EPALE Turkey Mediterranean Workshop on Workplace Learning

Within the scope of EPALE thematic agenda Learning in the Workplace, presentations were made on the thematic agenda addressed to the participants in the Mediterranean Workshop. The workshop was held on 31 Oct - 1 Nov 2019 in Antalya, Turkey. A total of 39 people, including teachers (37) and HEM administrators (5) working in the Ministry of National Education Adult Education Centers, were the participants of the workshop. The participants were 28 men, 11 women. Although the age ranges between 25-55 years, 72% are between 25-45 years of age. 83.8% of the participants and 16.2% of them are graduate graduates. Participants' work experiences showed a balanced distribution; 13.5% are 1-5 years, 24.3% are 6-10 years, 21.6% are 11-15 years, 24.3% are 16-20 years and 16.2% have over 21 years of experience. The participants were mostly (20) IT teachers. 

It was aimed to ensure the professional development of the personnel working in Adult Education Centers providing adult education and to guide the employees on how to contribute to the professional development of their colleagues by explaining reflective learning, observation and interview techniques in the light of lifelong learning philosophy. With this workshop, participants had knowledge about being objective, making objective observations, giving constructive feedback, being reflective, and had the opportunity to experience this through various activities.
