EPALE regional promotional event was held: Overview of steps taken in the area of quality, programs, access to target groups and media literacy
Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education is already implementing the fifth cycle of the EPALE project, in which in the Republic of Croatia it plays the role of the National Support Service for the electronic platform for adult education.
On December 12, 2023, a Regional promotional event was held in the Hotel Antunović in Zagreb as part of the EPALE project, entitled Overview of steps taken in the area of quality, programs, access to target groups and media literacy.
At the beginning of the event, Director of the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education, Mile Živčić, President of the Community of Institutions for Adult Education, Adam Deak, and the President of the Croatian Andragogical Society, Dražen Maksimović, addressed the participants.
After the introductory address to the participants, the employees of the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education presented current events in the field of adult education. Dragica Kovčalija gave a presentation on the topic of Programs in adult education - what awaits us in the future period, a presentation on the topic of Quality in adult education - important elements for the preparation of evaluation was given by Antonija Merdžan, followed by the presentation of the Media Literacy Competence Framework and Programme for Acquiring Key Media Literacy Competencies developed within the EPALE project, held by Ognjen Piljek Žiljak. Ana Tomljanović and Mateja Mandić held a presentation on the topic of Motivation and inclusion of adults with low qualifications in adult education and the key goals and purpose of the Erasmus+ project PartnerUp. An example of good practice and How to become an EPALE ambassador was presented to the participants by Željka Ciler from Ambitio College.
