EPALE Journal: Call for Papers
The Epale Italia Unit and RUIAP - Italian University Network for Lifelong Learning - are launching an invitation to contribute to the next issue of the Epale Journal on Adult Learning and Continuing Education.
In Italian and English, the journal explores themes proposed by the Italian EPALE National Support Service and selected from the European Programming of EPALE.
Published with an ISSN biannually, contains original theoretical contributions, international reviews of relevant books, as well as a section dedicated pedagogical experiences.
The title of the upcoming issue will be: Lifelong learning in Italy. Stakes from the past, the krisis of the present and the challenges of the future
It will bring to the attention of the academic community, of educational organizations and institutions the central right of everyone to learn during one’s entire life.
Lifelong learning has assumed a strategic centrality in national and European political agendas to address the challenges posed by the current, dramatic and unique historical moment. Identifying innovative solutions will require effective and incisive actions, starting with the enhancement of lessons learned in the past and experiences shown to provide tangible results.
From this perspective, the issue welcomes theoretical contributions and field experiences from any Country addressing the following general concerns:
- The role of lifelong learning and challenges for the future
- Policies for permanent learning in Italy and in Europe
- Training for the development of the adult population
- Personalization of skills in adulthood
- The social economy, the third sector and the professions
Send your contribution following the instructions given in the Call for Papers and according to the APA indications for citations, notes and bibliography.

Selection decision: 15th May 2022
Publication: 30th June 2022
