Aims and objectives
This session aims to explore how teachers can foster learner autonomy and encourage students to take greater ownership of their learning. Participants will examine practical, easy-to-implement strategies to support independent learning, effective correction techniques, and approaches that develop learners’ noticing skills, confidence, and engagement in the language classroom.
Expected (learning) outcomes
By the end of this session, participants will be able to apply practical strategies to promote learner autonomy, use effective correction techniques that encourage reflection, support students in developing noticing skills, and create more learner-centred environments that enhance motivation, independence, and long-term language development.
