DVV International supports development of competences of young academic staff at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Sarajevo

Cooperation between the DVV International - Country Office BiH, and the Center for Lifelong Learning of the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Sarajevo continues in 2018. The first joint activity was the training Andragogical Approach and Communication in the Academic Community held in January and February 2018, for teaching assistants and higher assistants working at five departments of the Faculty of Political Science, who, until now, did not have andragogical training, and for associates of the Institute for Social Research of FPS.

Twelve participants participated in the training in the field of educational work with adults (education group and communication in process of teaching, visualization and presentation in  educational work with adults), teamwork in scientific research projects and presentation of scientific results to academic and general public, and business communication and building of image and identity in academic environment.

Andragogical training was held by the director of DVV International - Country Office BiH dr.sc. Emir Avdagić, the first Ph.D. in the field of andragogical science in BiH, and communication skills training was held by prof.dr. sc. Lejla Turčilo and doc.dr. sc. Belma Buljubašić. Training is part of the efforts of the Faculty of Political Sciences University of Sarajevo to improve the competences of young academic staff in the field of work with students and in international scientific research projects.

Exceptional interest of the participants during the training, high grade and positive feedback expressed through the evaluation of the training and the interest of a number of teaching assistants and assistant professors to repeat the program for them as well are indicators that the training fulfilled the expectations and there is a need for this kind of educational offer at the University of Sarajevo.
