College Development Network Awards 2019 announce winners

The College Development Network Awards recognise the achievements of college staff and learners. Innovation, skills, talent and the impact these institutions have on communities and the wider sector are all taken into consideration. Eleven colleges received winning awards on 21 November 2019 at Radisson Blu in Glasgow, including Dundee and Angus College, Borders College and Fife College.

Many more colleges received Highly Commended and Commended status, including Ayrshire College, Argyll College UHI and West College Scotland. West Lothian College received a Highly Commended trophy after supporting over 120 students on Erasmus+ placements across Europe last year. Argyll College received Highly Commended recognition in the digital learning category and Ayrshire College received it for the Sustainability Award.
 

Aileen McKechnie, the Director of Advanced Learning and Science for the Scottish Government, was a guest speaker at the event and students from New College Lanarkshire and Edinburgh College performed live music.
