Background and information of the workshop
This June, as part of STIRE (Supporting the Integration of the Resettled) and Saolta, Development Perspectives is delighted to invite those working in Adult & Community Education - particularly those working in/interested in the area of refugee integration to attend this 120-minute workshop.
The overall session will be framed around Sustainable Development Goal 16 - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, while supported by Development Education principles regarding the need to critically examine current narratives around the variables which intersect migration and integration.
Bringing both a local and global perspective, guest speakers will focus on meaningful and sustainable engagement of refugees. During this workshop, experiences and knowledge from research conducted within STIRE will be shared.
