The June-July thematic focus on EPALE is non-formal and informal learning. Nordic non-formal learning, (folkbildning, liberal adult education) is an important tradition of adult non-formal education. It is characterised by self-motivated education not bound by qualification orientation and various providers ranging from folk highschools to study circles. EPALE thematic coordinator Markus Palmen is preparing an article shedding light on the status quo and future of this tradition.
