Representatives from Mersin province attended to 13. 'Blue Flag' seminar held in Antalya this year by the Environmental Education Foundation of Turkey. Representatives of the Metropolitan Municipality who succeeded in the examination at the end of the training were entitled to receive 'local Blue Flag Officer - 2019 Certificate of Education'.

More than 100 local 'Blue Flag' officials from coastal municipalities from all over Turkey, different state  institution directors and 'Blue Flag' national representatives attended at the training seminar. Under the training programme, the local people and promotional presentations about the sample application the responsible institutions, the ministries 'blue flag' about their work and the issues of financial support, 'Blue Flag' and renewed information about current international developments and presented examples from abroad.
