Blackbird language school continues with the dissemination of their project KA1: Developing Competences for Efficient Use of Language, New Methodology and Innovative Technology in EFL Classroom

29/11/2018
Language: EN

Blackbird language school with its director and four senior teachers have held presentations on the annual YALS conference considering their experiences in Erasmus + projects, but also exchanging experiences and ideas they gained throughout their mobility in the project.

Along with the team involved in the project, the conference was marked by the appearance of Mike Hogan, the representative of York Associates, the partner organisation that delivered courses to Blackbird language school. The project itself resulted in good cooperation and partnership between the two institutions.

The first presentation held by Mike Hogan, dealt with the experience of the institution York Associates in Erasmus plus project, putting the accent on the value the projects have on CPD (continual professional development). The presentation offered practical ideas, and useful tips on how to gain a successful project.

After the participants of the conference were introduced with the basic idea and values inserted into the Erasmus + projects, they were presented with the actual steps Blackbird language school from Čačak took, that lead them to success in this project. The presenter in this part was Ljubomir Vasojevic, course director at the school. As a sum up, all the participants of the conference had the opportunity to ask any questions considering Erasmus+ to the presenters within the set panel discussion.

In the following part of the conference, four teachers from Blackbird language school held two workshops, Enliven your lessons – Milena Sredojević and Marijana Cendić and The new use of Technology – Ivan Petrić and Ivana Grujović, both sharing the experience and ready-made classroom ideas for the participants of the conference.

The presentations and workshops that followed were marked as highly useful, informative, creative and well-organized by the participants in the evaluation questionnaire. Some of the comments left on the questionnaire include:

„The seminar was very well-organized and prepared, with many interesting and useful things clearly presented.“

„Very useful workshops with lots of practical ideas. Great info on how to take part in the Erasmus plus.“

„Keep up the good work Blackbird. Have some more UK travelling journeys!“
