Art as an Antidote to Trauma: The “TRUST Art Therapy” Project
Art as an Antidote to Trauma: The “TRUST Art Therapy” Project
The “TRUST Art Therapy” initiative is an Erasmus+ project implemented with partners from Ukraine, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, and Greece.
From 21–23 May 2026, on the beautiful island of Aegina, in Greece thirty participants from Ukraine, carrying the deep trauma of war, will take part in an intensive three-day therapeutic workshop.
Through ECO Art Therapy—connecting participants with the natural environment of Aegina—along with photography and creative writing/poetry, art will serve as a powerful medium for emotional expression, release, and healing. The workshop aims to create a safe space where participants can process experiences, reconnect with themselves and others, and rebuild a sense of hope through creativity and nature.
The project is co-funded by the European Union.
