According to Eurostat, digital skills are becoming increasingly essential for both personal and professional life. In 2023, more than 90% of all the jobs in the EU required at least basic digital skills, together with more traditional skills like literacy and numeracy; at the same time, almost 32 % of Europeans still lack basic digital skills.

To make sure that all citizens and all learners are empowered to acquire digital skills and therefore meaningfully participate in society, ALL DIGITAL will run the ALL DIGITAL Weeks 2024 from 13 May until 31 May. 

This milestone event will take the form of a campaign to ensure that all stakeholders in the education sector are on board: it will involve all sorts of stakeholders and organisations in different European countries. The awareness-raising campaign aims at showing the need to empower all European citizens with the digital tools and skills they need in their studies and jobs, and for social inclusion and participation as well. This renewed edition will build on what was achieved in 2023 and on its contribution to the success of the European Year of Skills by putting aspects of digital democracy (with an eye on the European Elections!) into focus.
