A total of 200 face-to-face participants and around fifty online, including VET teachers from Catalonia and from 16 different European countries, all of them coordinators of international projects and experts in international cooperation and mobility projects, participated on the 30th November 2022 in the first edition of the seminar on International Mobility and Cooperation Projects, organised by the VET Directorate- General of the Regional Government of Education of the Government of Catalonia. 

After an institutional welcome, experts in mobility and international cooperation from the European Union presented the latest developments regarding European policies towards international mobility and the funding frameworks to carry out this type of stays, as well as projects on international cooperation.

The attendees also had the opportunity to meet future partners and institutions from other countries in order to start cooperation projects. The workshop for the presentation of future European projects by its leaders, in which different institutions from Catalonia and abroad participated, was very enriching, bringing partners together to present and work on the project together. Instructions on how to submit a project for it to be successful and selected were also given. Finally, the prizes of the video competition of mobility experiences by Catalan centers were handed out.

The celebration of this first International Conference is one of the main objectives of the Directorate- General for Vocational Education and Training, that is, to provide our students with the personal and professional tools they will need during their professional career. Enjoying a stay in a foreign company and/or institution helps young people work on technical and personal soft skills such as knowledge of a foreign language, resilience and the ability to adapt and overcome, among others.
