15-16th January 2024: Visit of partners to Pamplona in 1st international meeting for RACOBEU project.
The RACOBEU Project (Radio Astronomy Collaboration Between European Universities) involves the IES Padre Moret-IRUBIDE in Pamplona and the universities Ventspils University of Applied Sciences (Ventspils, Latvia) and Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznań, Poland), as well as the secondary schools Ventspils Secondary School No.2 (Latvia) and the Spark Academy in Poznań (Poland). The aim of the project is to create a network of collaboration between the universities and secondary schools mentioned. RACOBEU has a duration of three years, from November 2023 to October 2026, and has funding of 250,000 euros for all members.
The aforementioned secondary schools will be pioneers in the design of a new educational model based on how to effectively acquire skills and knowledge in astronomy and radio astronomy through specific projects in which students can actively participate.
