Welcome to the new EPALE calendar! This tool has been created and launched with you in mind. Major adult learning events will be posted here, as well as training opportunities and conferences from all over Europe that are aimed at adult education professionals.

As EPALE grows, there will be more events added to the calendar.

We are looking forward to hearing from you too. In the coming months you will be able to post your events, and capture the attention of audiences across the whole of Europe.

How to use the calendar

You can use the calendar to search for specific events, or search by country, language of the event, theme, date, target group and the type of event you would like to go to.  Click on the calendar item to find out all the information relating to that event.

This course is ideal for all those working in the field of education, adult educators, trainers & coaches) who want to improve their level of spoken and written English. It aims to give participants an overview of English grammar and vocabulary with special focus on acquiring and improving language skills in a dynamic and communicative way, through individual, pair and group work. Course participants are provided with a combination of online resources, a variety of media and authentic and interesting texts. Emphasis is placed on developing the strategies for effective listening, reading and speaking in both informal and formal settings. Upon completion, participants should be able to demonstrate improved comprehension, accuracy and fluency, which will enable them to participate in activities appropriate to academic and professional settings. This course although structured, is designed to be flexible and can be adapted to suit the specific needs of the participants. Important note: ‘English for Educators: advance your career (Level I)’ course is for teachers/educators and administrative workers who have an Elementary (A2) up to Intermediate (B1) level of English, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

This course is ideal for all educators, adult educators, trainers & coaches, who want to improve their level of spoken and written English. It is designed to provide the participants with speaking, reading and writing practice for both academic and professional purposes and to improve their overall proficiency in English language in a dynamic and communicative way, through individual, pair and group work. It focuses on enabling the participants to speak and write accurately and fluently about various (general and business) topics and use appropriate language in both informal and formal settings. The course will place emphasis on strategies for effective speaking and writing and the use of these strategies to improve the participants’ analytical, as well as presentation skills. It will empower them to use a range of different ways to express and connect their ideas. Upon completion participants will gain the knowledge of lexical and grammatical structures that will improve their academic and business communication. They should be able to demonstrate improved proficiency and built confidence in order to effectively participate in activities appropriate to academic and professional settings, which include making and delivering presentations, as well as participating in business meetings and other corporate events. This course, although structured, is designed to be flexible and can be adapted to suit the specific needs of the participants. Important note: ‘English for Educators (Level II): advance your career/business communication’ course is for teachers/educators who have an upper-intermediate to advanced (B2-C1) level of English, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
