Use of VR with disadvantaged target groups – No time to waste!
From 2018 to 2021, Meath Partnership took part in the Erasmus+ project Viral Skills together with several other organisations. In this project, they explored the use of VR within adult and community education, specifically aimed at target groups who are often harder to reach, such as school drop-outs, refugees, long-term unemployed citizens, etc.
Now the project has come to an end, all materials have been developed and implemented, the outreach activities made us realise there still is more work to be done. Educators are interested in getting familiar with the use of VR in Adult Education, but there is little information and open source materials available to get started.
Therefore, Meath Partnership would like to seize the opportunity and reach out to organisations across Europe to gain a deeper insight in the use of VR in adult education. Maybe we end up designing our own VR-environment on basic literacy and numeracy skills for persons with disabilities?
