At the core of "Together We Can" is a holistic approach to inclusion. Through training and partnerships, we bring together rural migrant women and local actors to build basic skills and key competences and open doors to lifelong learning, personal fulfilment, and integration into different areas of life such as education, training, and employment.

The project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, aims to bring together companies, municipalities, public institutions, and educational actors in a forward-looking transnational network. This collaborative effort aims to inspire and empower migrant women to actively participate in community-oriented actions and initiatives, and to drive positive change and empowerment.

The overall goal is to empower migrant women in rural areas by equipping them with basic skills to successfully integrate into education and employment opportunities. The project takes a whole-of-society and bottom-up approach that fosters collaboration between different actors who share a common vision to empower migrant women from rural areas.

A first step for the project was to identify and produce a transnational benchmark report that collects international best practices to collect, process and use European experiences related to local integration strategies for migrant women.

Through joint efforts and a tailor-made transnational training approach, a modular learning and training programme is currently being developed. The aim is an active and equal participation of all participants (stakeholders, trainers, participants).

By developing a roadmap for inclusive policy frameworks, the project aims to engage local community councils, public institutions, non-profit organisations, and businesses to jointly address the needs of migrant women in rural areas. Forward-thinking communities focus on active engagement, collaboration, and the use of local resources to recommend policy solutions. The project partners aim for a long-term commitment from stakeholders to achieve a sustainable impact beyond the project period.

The creation of self-determined communities for migrant women in rural areas is intended to promote inclusion and support in their local environment. Increased civic engagement by stakeholders will improve understanding of the needs of migrant women. Enhanced lifelong learning and employment opportunities for migrant women in rural areas should contribute to the sustainable strengthening of communities in rural areas, and policy solutions to the needs of migrant women should promote their active social inclusion.

Sharing is caring: We are committed to promoting the products, activities, and achievements of our project to ensure that they are widely recognised, thus raising public awareness, especially of the challenges faced by migrant women in rural areas in terms of education, employment and training. The results will be www.togetherwecanproject.eu on the project website  and published on the social media pages on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/togetherwecanproject.eu) and LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/company/together-we-can-project/).

This is a fantastic move to empower migrant women in rural areas. It's great to see companies, public institutions, and educational bodies coming together to help these women gain essential skills and get involved in their communities. The idea of using a transnational approach to learn from best practices across Europe is smart and should really help tailor the program to be effective. Plus, the focus on long-term impact and getting everyone from local councils to businesses involved is super important for making sure the benefits stick around after the project ends. Really cool initiative!
