yEUrSTAGE in short…
The yEUrSTAGE project (“The stage is yEUrs: Learning the language of the 'host' country through contemporary theatre approaches for adult educators towards the social inclusion of minority groups in Europe of leaving no one behind”) brings together 5 European organizations, each one having specific expertise in theatre approaches, language teaching/learning, migrants and refugees, which will exchange best practices on teaching SL through contemporary theatre approaches for the social inclusion of minority groups in Europe of leaving no one behind. The organisations will work together, learn from each other and share best practices, having as target group adult educators, SL educators, trainers/mentors/professionals involved with immigrants and refugees, with the following objectives:
- To increase the professional development of the target groups through European collaboration, non-formal and intercultural learning involving contemporary theatre approaches for teaching SL by means of 5 short-term joint staff training events for the exchange of good practices.
- To strengthen the networking among partners and bring together the best contemporary theatre practices to facilitate teaching SL towards the social inclusion of minority groups in European societies.
YEUrSTAGE first LTTA held in Madeira (Portugal)…
The 1st Learning Teaching Training Activity of the project took place from the 17th to the 21st of July 2021 in Madeira, Portugal.
10 adult educators were trained to teach SL through the training course titled "The power of storytelling" taught by ASSOCIAÇÃO CULTURAL E DE SOLIDARIEDADE SOCIAL RAQUEL LOMBARDI.
YEUrSTAGE face-to-face TPM held in Valencia (Spain)…
The first face-to-face Transnational Partners Meeting of the project took place on the 18th of September 2021 in Valencia, Spain.
Partners started a general discussion on project progress, management and financial aspects, short summary of up-to-date implemented dissemination activities, monitoring and evaluation activities, results of valorisation in previous months and how to continue valorisation in the coming months.
There was also a discussion on the short-term training already carried out and on the next trainings to be carried out in the next months. Sample material of the short-term training held in Madeira was demonstrated during this meeting so that all partners could provide first-hand feedback.
The partners agreed on next steps and actions to be taken.
YEUrSTAGE second LTTA held in Cyprus…
The 2nd Learning Teaching Training Activity of the project took place from the 28th of October to the 1st of November 2021, in Cyprus.
10 adult educators were trained to teach SL through the training course titled "Listen to my story: a blending of theatre and digital techniques as SL learning means for immigrants and refugees” taught by STANDO LTD.
YEUrSTAGE third LTTA held in Valencia (Spain)…
The 3rd Learning Teaching Training Activity of the project took place from the 18th to the 22nd of April
2022 in Valencia, Spain.
11 adult educators (3 of them online) were trained to teach SL through the training course titled
"Vocalization, relaxation and gestualization contemporary theatre learning techniques towards SL
learning" taught by INICIATIVAS DE FUTURO PARA UNA EUROPA SOCIAL.
YEUrSTAGE fourth LTTA held in Thessaloniki (Greece)…
The 4th Learning Teaching Training Activity of the project took place from the 10th to the 14th of
October 2022 in Thessaloniki (Greece).
11 adult educators were trained to teach SL through the training course titled "Following the Playback
theatre approach” taught by ECHO PLAYBACK THEATRE.
YEUrSTAGE fifth LTTA held in Potenza (Italy)…
The 5th Learning Teaching Training Activity of the project took place from the 22nd to the 25th of
November 2022 in Potenza (Italy).
9 adult educators (3 of them online) were trained to teach SL through the training course titled "The
Stanislavsky method and the Theater of the oppressed for SL learning” taught by EURO-NET.
yEUrSTAGE face-to-face TPM held in Nicosia (Cyprus)…
The last face-to-face Transnational Partners Meeting of the project took place on the 9th of December
2022 in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The partners made a comprehensive analysis of the development of the project and of each of the
activities carried out, as well as the results obtained.
All partners will carry out dissemination events in their respective countries and will also contribute to
the planning of the final report to be submitted at the end of the project.
