Our Yes We Can Partnership activities were almost derailed by the sudden Covid onslaught. Like most organisations, this was a challenge.
With Lockdown introduced, our Face to Face Best Practice structures and sessions were not possible. Suddenly, there were no monthly Happy Healthy Family sessions, no weekly computer literacy classes and no One 2 one emotional wellbeing and practical sessions. We had to satisfy the needs of our clients. We quickly adapted to new ways of working with partners locally and internationally, providing online services to our clients and continuing our Yes We Can Project, promoting health and wellbeing and reducing loneliness and isolation during new situations of lockdowns.
With the new emergency situation, innovative types of financing emerged, and we introduced online services – dance, yoga, laughter yoga, multilingual telephone befriending, workshops and Food delivery to the lonely and housebound and Food Distribution on public sites, which is a new project for us to meet our user's unique needs.
Internationally, we enjoyed monthly laughter yoga sessions facilitated by the European partner organisation Agape from Italy. We adopted for our organisation Agape's Best Practice Laughter Yoga.
Our clients have enjoyed the, Yes We Can project despite Covid.
