Project "Mobility and Learning - Chance for Development" is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
Objective of this project is: to strengthen the capacity and attractiveness of the organization so that it is able to offer activities and programs that better meet the needs of individuals and staff, and to expand their professional competence with the acquisition of ideas from different education systems and approaches in adult education in the EU.
Selected mobility activity is job shadowing and it’s realized in the relevant organizations active in adult education in Italy and Slovenia.
The project was developed by "EDUFONS - Center for lifelong education" from Serbia, and partners are "Gramigna" from Italy and "Kmetijsko gozdarski zavod Ljubljana (KGZS-Zavod LJ)" from Slovenia.
The project was born out of a need to develop our own capacities and introduce innovative ways, tools and working methods in order to offer our adult learners optimal training programs.
The basic reasons for starting this project are:
- We consider professional development of staff/adult educators through the improvement of their core competencies and skills as very important.
- Adult learners are recognized as passive and hardly involved in the process of continuous learning.
- Our desire is to help adults through additional education to be better positioned in the labor market. The focus is on the offer of educational programs for all ages and different target groups, especially for women in rural areas.
Two mobility were realized through key activity "job shadowing" and this was an extraordinary learning experience for our staff.
Five persons were sent abroad: 2 responsible for the strategic development of the organization and 3 of them were adult educators; two of them visited Italy and three of them went to Slovenia.
Methods that were used: attendance at meetings, presentations, attending workshops/classes organized by a partner organization, observation of fieldwork, gaining insight into the documentation, curriculum, various materials (brochures, manuals, flyers, leaflets ...), gathering information, learning about the organizational/management structure and legislation regarding adult education in the country of the recipient, the introduction of new tools.
The impact is reflected through the promotion of mobility, cooperation and European values, raising awareness of the European area of lifelong learning and the dissemination of good practice. The desired effects are: to create a culture of learning, social organizations, knowledge-based economy, to improve the skills and achievements of adults, local, regional and rural development and the advancement of women.
