Planting Sustainability: An Erasmus Project Focused on Early Childhood Education and Green Skills

Our planet is facing a crisis, with climate change threatening our environment and the future of our children.

Our planet is facing a crisis, with climate change threatening our environment and the future of our children. The need for sustainable practices and eco-friendly initiatives has never been more urgent. This is where Planting Sustainability, an Erasmus project focused on Early Childhood Education and Green Skills, comes in.

The main objective of the project is to provide interdisciplinary and ecologically oriented education to both youth and children, preparing them for the future. Youth are the changers of today, and children are the changers of the time ahead. Also, this project aims to develop and provide education that aligns with economic standards meeting ecological ones and vice versa.

The first objective is focused on training volunteers. Volunteers are provided with education needed in today's world, where sustainable practices and eco-friendly initiatives are vital. The second objective is to engage volunteers in local civic participation and to engage children in the context of connection and responsibility regarding nature. Volunteers will perform prepared activities, developed in the first objective, in kindergartens. The activities will actively involve children in learning about sustainability, eco-friendly practices, and financial literacy.

Planting Sustainability is a project that addresses the urgent need for sustainable practices and eco-friendly initiatives. Through collaboration, the project aims to create a sustainable future, where economic standards meet ecological ones, and everyone is responsible for the environment.

The project is not only about educating children and youth, but also about creating awareness in the community. Through civic engagement and community participation, the project aims to create a culture of sustainability. The project is a reminder that everyone is responsible for the environment and that small actions can have significant impacts.

Planting Sustainability is a collaborative effort by 3 organizations (Cosvitec Scarl from Italy, Connectus from Slovakia and In Varietate Concordia Association from Romania), reminding us that everyone is responsible for the environment, and small actions can have significant impacts.

In conclusion, Planting Sustainability is a crucial project that addresses the urgent need for sustainable practices and eco-friendly initiatives and will contribute and develop locally oriented activities, which will have long-term impact in a form of providing solutions to local environmental issues through individuals, motivating the community, while moving the company forward.

As a society, we are deeply concerned about the well-being of future generations and are committed to addressing their needs. One area of focus is to encourage young people to engage in non-formal education and gain working experience that enables them to play an active role in the fight against climate change. Our aim is to support European strategies for youth and green development by providing interdisciplinary education and fostering a culture of care for the environment and financial literacy within Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC). We are committed to providing the necessary tools and training to equip current and future change agents with the skills and knowledge they need to make a positive impact.
