Open Education Resource on basic skills in adult learning (EPALE Malta Event)

The EPALE Malta event Open Education Resource on basic skills in adult learning was held on 30 April 2019 at the National Archaeology in Valletta, Malta. The event was open to policy-makers in the adult learning sector as well as those working in the adult learning field.

Graciela Sbertoli is currently the Secretary General of the European Basic Skills Network. Until her retirement from Skills Norway in 2017 she was the Agency’s International Coordinator and represented Norway as the country’s National Coordinator of Adult Learning. She worked as Director of Research and Development at the Norwegian State Center for Adult Education (1995-2001). She represented Norway in the EU’s Grundtvig Working Group (2001-2005) and in the Focus Groups for the Action Plan for Adult Learning (2009-2011). In 2010, she initiated the European Basic Skills Network, which gathers policy makers and policy providers from Europe and beyond, including the Maltese Directorate for Adult Learning. She led the Norwegian National Support Service for EPALE from 2015 to 2017. She has authored several text books and multimedia resources and is interested in the pedagogic use of digital devices. She holds a Licenciatura en Filología Inglesa from the University of Barcelona, and a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Oslo
