HERIT: Heritage Efficient management through Relevant IT use

The learning resources presented here have been developed through an ERASMUS+ project for adult education entitled “HERIT: Heritage Efficient management through Relevant IT use” (Project Nº: 2020-1-BE01-KA226-VET-082730) carried out between 2021 and 2023.
The HERIT focusing on providing current and future private-owners, landowners, employees of historic houses, etc with the needed training to overcome the COVID-19 crisis impacts by developing and professionally managing digital activities related to communication and cultural heritage and foster the development, commercialization and promotion of tourism connected to cultural heritage.
HERIT has developed a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) where you can access all the project’s training materials which are available in 5 languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian and Czech. Through this MOOC, you will learn how to:
- mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 crisis through the development of online and digital training;
- Foster an entrepreneurial and proactive spirit;
- Help maintain the jobs of local communities surrounding historical buildings;
- Enhance the visibility of the common European cultural heritage, online and offline, in order to raise awareness about and promote the cultural heritage related to historic houses;
- Promote tourism related to cultural heritage and revitalise rural areas.

SUMMARY REPORT: here you will find an overview of the situation about the actual situation of digital innovation and training related to historic houses management. This report provides a picture of the common findings across participating partner countries, which has been analysed in greater detail. This guide also serves as an introductory document for the training programme on the project website, on partner's websites and on other relevant websites and repositories.
BEST PRACTICES: in this section you will find a series of 10 examples of best practices of digital innovation related to historic houses management.
Through this section you will learn from real experiences, reading about manager and owner problems related to historic house management and how they solved them. Learning from existing experiences will surely inspire you.
TRAINING MODULES: In the previously mentioned MOOC, you will find 4 training modules, written by diverse stakeholders in the field of historic house management. These courses include PowerPoint presentations, videos, testimonials, annexes, additional readings (for deeper research of the topic) and voluntary activities (to get hands on experience). In addition to the prepared contents of the modules, there is an opportunity to self-test your initial knowledge before taking the module and there is also a test at the end of the module to see whether you understood the contents. The modules will help you in your learning pathway as well as in your professional activity.
