FRIENDLY HAND OF PUBLIC EDUCATION and KIZILAY TO REFUGEE
In Karabük, 7985 people living under international protection (Iraqi, Afghan and Iranian) live.
There are 5073 male and 2912 female living in our city.
The group of our project is composed of internationally protected women who have received Turkish at A1 level in Karabük Public Education Directorate. A total of 40 women from Afghani, Iraqi and Iranian who were studying Turkish at A1 level were included in the project.
In the project, the daily wages of Karabük provincial administration during the Turkısh language education and ISKUR provincial directorate will pay the daily wages of the participants during the vocational training will help to contribute to the family economies.
The aim of the project is to introduce the internationally protected unemployed women living in the province of Karabük (Afghan, Iraqi, Iranian) to the labor market through education to ensure their participation in social and economic life.
The specific purpose of the project is to create a language class in which language training is provided to meet their needs without the need of another person.
Within the content of our project, the handicraft workshop to be established in the Kızılay building will enable internationally protected unemployed women (Afghan, Iraqi, Iranian) to gain qualifications in vocational education, to obtain economic income, to stand on their own feet and to overcome barriers to their participation in work life.
Turkish language education, which will be given to 40 people selected among the internationally protected unemployed women (Afghans, Iraqis, Iranians) which constitute the target group of the project, is thought to contribute to their self-sufficiency, their adaptation to society, understanding of inter-communal understanding and development of relations. A peaceful environment will be created by increasing the harmony of the target group in the region.
With this social project, information meetings to be held with other public institutions in the province will create awareness on the needs of those who are under international protection, in cooperation with civil society organizations, projects, and projects to produce solutions on problems.
